Youth Get-together!

Hello all - just letting you know that because of the rain forecast for all day tomorrow we're canceling. We'll be pushing it forward to a possible date of July 3 (Saturday). Sorry for the confusion!

Grad Shindig!

When: We're meeting at Doug and Janelle's house this Sunday at 5:00

What: First going to Cherry Hill for supper and then to Adam K's house for dessert/games/fellowship

Who: If you are in Grade 12 and have been a part of the Cornerstone Youth community this last year

NOTE - We will not be paying for your supper, you can count on about $20 for the meal you can easily spend more or less if you want. If the money is a problem there is help available. The rest of the evening is paid for by the youth account.

Thursday 7:00 @ the Church: Video Scavenger Hunt!

Hey, remember to bring a camera with video capability with USB cable for this thursday's meeting. We'll be doing a scavenger hunt around the area - a good night to invite friends. Also, don't forget to reflect on what God has done in you through the book of 1 John. We'll be having a fireside after the video scavenger hunt at the church where we will relax and reflect on what God has done in us. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.

Our wind-up will be next week @ 7:00 on TUESDAY at Michael Thiessens house - come dressed for outside games that may get you a little dirty. So not thursday - TUESDAY (this is so we don't conflict with the band concert)

Feb 26-27 - Manitario Lock-In. Starts Friday 4:30 at the church, ends Saturday around noonish. Cost $10, bring sleeping bag/foamy, Bible, & snacks to share. Hanging out with a youth group from Kenora, ON

• Note: We're looking for some parents who would like to make us brunch in the morning - ask your parents if they'd like to help and talk to Janelle about it.

Hey All!

Just in case you forget - this week we've got Bible Study, Feb 4, 7:00 in the youth room. Read 1 John again, and again....

Envision, and other Future Plans...

Reminding us all again - Envision night this week! Meet at the Martha P. Rempel Centre @ 6:00. (Main street beside MCC.) This is going to be a night to really bless some of the people of our community who live with disabilities - but be prepared to be blessed as you go to serve! These people are wonderful.

One more thing - we have set up a lock in like event with a Youth group from Kenora for Feb.26-27 (friday to saturday) We're going to stay in the church over night (sleep?) and spend some time getting to know some other Christians through Games, worship, Bible study etc. I think its going to be a blast.

Note: If you haven't been up on the news this week - there was a major earthquake in Haiti and they are in such need - Northwest Haiti Christian mission (the one we went with this last summer) is jumping in to help, if it's in your heart at all - please help out. check out their website for details how we can be a part of helping in a time of major need!
